A comment I am getting from a lot of places this fall is how smooth logistics are in the world. There are areas of Alberta that have been plugged but for the most part, elevators have had room for deliveries.
Someone may correct me (I could actually lookup the numbers), but canola has rarely moved out of Prince Rupert. Realizing the same groups own shares in Prince Rupert as Vancouver, it will be interesting to see how this port plays out in the new world. A canola shipment out of PR could be a part of this change. The new CWB has taken a leadership role in this case.

Interesting that the cwb purchased from companies. I wonder if they paid the companies only 10.50 a bushel and made them finance the sale for a few months or did only the farmers do that. Might explain why the PRO dropped.
Just saying I doubt the grain companies took less than fair market value for the canola.
Why would farmers doing business with the cwb do anything less than the grain companies, but they do?

Leadership.... must be tough calling there huh.
You think we have 18.00 basis levels because the crushers are having their way with farmers, Charlie?
Line companies were selling canola to the CWB for this vessel on October 02.
I looked up the email that started - you'll never guess who I sold canola to.
347,000 MT of canola has left PRG2 since August 01; and there are 2 anchored at port for canola at the moment and another due December 09.
The Tai Health is due to arrive at Yokohama on December 09 at 6:00 AM. The Tai Harvest is also in port with a Dec 10 undock. Destination results are not available until it pulls away.
I'll watch to see if it is consigned to Zen-Noh when it unhooks and how much the news release was blowing smoke.
They might actually have to trace and track logistics or get a pink slip and call for more grievance counselors.
