          Coleville

Richie Bros. have a 2 1/2% buyers fee on items over $2500 up to $950/item.
There is a 10% buyers fee on items under $2500.

          Why? Because they can!

This buyer fee is a bunch of crap. BUT!! As
uneducated as most of us farmers are, we will
continue to run and support there sales, just in
case we get a hell of a deal. Nobody ever
thought of not going to a Ritchie sale starting in
2013. It is that simple, you go, you agree that a
buyer fee is alright. Make them wealthier at your
            expense that is your decision.

Furrow: What kind of issues you having with AGCO.

Re Auction Sale: Some of the newer iron had warrany available if you wanted to buy it. That says they are at least half assed confident it isn't an "auction sale special". ...dealers dumping excess iron or can't afford to keep it on the lot. If they didn't like the results, why doesn't the manufacturer help them out or at the very least don't participate-it is an auction. That would all be fine except when your dumping someone elses product who cares if you just "lowered the bar" for that brand!

furrowtickler: I agree with you 100 percent, big
dollars are saved. However: if RB was to just
read your post replying to my post, then that
fee would be tripled as of tomorrow, for you
agree with it. What I am saying is when do they
stop tacking on fees. If bad luck is on your side
at that piece of iron fails in the field, I have yet
to see a RB service truck in our area anyway.

Agchat in the past we have seen machinery go for higher than dealer prices. This is new territory. I bought a 9120 2 years ago as in I used it for 2 years now. And it was a 2009 9120. I paid 275 thousand interest free for 1.5 year was a manufacturer incentive. Plus I got one year warrantee which equalled about 2500 dollars in parts not counting labour that we did. Has now got the engine air filter update done.
