No mustard. Was called to do an interview and
had the Wheat Grower slant on things. Thought
maybe I'd put it out there to see what others
thought. If I remember right your a NFU type
      farmer?

Terry Boehm did an interview as well. How did he
form his opinion? Did he ask his membership?
Did he go with core beliefs that corporations are
      evil?
Thought maybe some might want input.

The question gus is if now that you know a little more about the history of Glencore; that you are a little less comfortable.

I truly suspect that its all a case of once again "missing the point" every damn time.

If it were possible; I would press a "delete" button on nearly every one of my posts to this site. The general level of comprehension is just not high enough for even semi intelligent conversation.

Oneoff sometimes I wish you would too.

I followed Mustards sugestion got a site
saying he made his money going around OPEC
trading, and bought oil from Iran then resold
to US at higher prices. More about not paying
          taxes.

          The horror....

Seeing as I do farm full time, chase after a
busy family and my wife is slave driving me
to help clean the house before Christmas...
We're all busy people. Let's here in your
words why I shouldn't be glad to have another
          buyer for my product?

Or you could call Bob Simpson, or any other
Ag reporter put your name out and comment.

You can speak as yourself, or if you really
want put your names forward and run for a
position. But we all know you rather point
            out problems than propse solutions.

Ok so you don't give a shit about shady business practices; are willing to minimize their significance and get to use your position to promote your personal point of view; all at someone else's expense.
And you're willing to fight to maintain that advantage and the status quo.

Please excuse the opinion of others who thinks such people should get pushed aside, at appropriate intervals. And don't go so heavy on the plea for self-pity.

And you certainly aren't interested in other people's proposed solutions

That's the great part of being involved in a
voluntary farm organisation. I don't speak
for you. Don't claim to. I answer to the
WCWGA membership. If I'm offside or go off
script the membership knows where to find me
                  and they know I'm available.

Have you called Bob yet? I know he was
looking for counter points. The. Random
locals he interviewed didn't see a problem in
                  dealing with GlenCore either.

Although none of us evidently have the
inclination to do research with all our
                  suppliers/buyers like you do.

Besides Tax evasion and trading with rogue nations, this company has been involved in hiring paramilitary groups to Rid a proposed mining site of people.(massacre in Columbia)

There human rights and environmental Violations seem to follow them around the world.
I am sure Terry Boehm did his research on this company Last spring when deal was announced

In other words...Glencore is known as a "dirty" trader in the International sense.
