Bobofthenorth, organics label their products
"certified organic". The name of the certification
body is listed. A product number is assigned and
listed. An audit trail is in place for recall or fraud.
All paid for by the organic chain. The media
report problems. Full disclosure. Subject to
federal testing via federal legislation. Tried our
best on our own dollar.

The recent news reports about organic labelling fraud combined with better efforts on the part of conventional agriculture to expose the fraudulent nature of the whole organic sector have combined to reveal that an "organic" label means about the same as a "new and improved" label on a jug of Tide.
The organic honeymoon with an uninformed consumer is coming to a long overdue end.

I know how to calculate growth rate and ive only
talked about it on here a million times,i ballparked
the numbers and they are close enough.
So if organics is a 10 billion dollar industry now its 20
in 4 years and 40 in 8 and 80 in 12.
The magic of the exponential function.

"Why don't you manufacture litre glass jars of
canola oil with "Made with GMO Canola" stickers
on each jar. With your money.
I'll manufacture the same sized jars with "Made
with Certified Organic Canola" stickers.
With my money. "
You please reread that pars and tell me if that doesn't provide the perfect example of your concept of perfect marketing.
Do you not also realize with your knowledge of the very widespead GMO contamination of anything to do with canola production; that your jar certainly wouldn't be accurately or responsibly labelled ...certified organic or tied with ribbons or bows or however you wish to dress it up.
Anyone wishing to claim GMO free or pesticide free or pure as driven snow has an obligation to live up to expectations that you help develop and continue to promote as being significantly different, healthier; free of containation etc. etc.
I'm afraid principles of critical thinking are being ignored.
That has nothing to do with who has the most pleasing message to a receptive audience ....or can tell the biggest lie.

I'm not going to wrangle with you, oneoff. I dont
have the time, and we are in different industries
and different customers. Rather like Peterbilt
wrangling with Polaris.
I'm enthusiatic about growing good food for
people who are enthusiatic about buying it.
Just be relieved that the few thousands of us
growing organically, wont transfer into
conventional agriculture, flooding your market
with still more bushels. You're alreay
oversupplied! Pars.
