What to do, purchase grain bins now or a bagger don't have one

    Well grain pile worked well this year. Dry ground. No six inch rain event. Grain on pile very dry. I have seen grain piles take on six inches of sideways rain and that's not good.

      Was on a combine crew for a neighbor a
      few years back. We were in fields of
      heavy oats doing well over 100 bu/ac. 4
      big JD combines, 2 maxed out chaser bins
      with a grain bagger in the same field
      that barely shut off.

      The 4 combines never stopped. Trucking
      that much product away not even remotely
      possible.

        The BTO' s around here have their employees
        cleanup the bags in the winter and haul it into
        their elevators. This way the bags are cleaned up
        quicker. The nice thing is it's done on frozen
        roads. Way less damage to the roads at harvest
        and in spring.

          everyones situation different.
          hate bagging but..... booked a bagger for fall two
          weeks ago
          would like to say though, I hope to have inventory to
          have a problem with!!
