I can go along for a bit here, but here is the problem.

The new CWB will have limited handling due to lack of elevators.

They don't have to buy WIT but they should have an arrangement with them like the old pools for Mission terminal.

Its to bad the majors are beating them to the independants, they could have bought turn key assets.

Now if they go with building, its a tougher row to hoe.

Although I did tell them the only place to build is at the intersection of two rail lines! There is a location east of Moose Jaw that would be perfect.

The CWB would be a great purchase for
farmers. We don't need to monopolize the
whole market, we just need enough to
pressure the big boys to play fair. I
know they're building an elevator east
of saskatoon in the near future.

I'd like to call to order the inaugural meeting of the cyber grass roots organization
"Agriville actiongroup", (AA...that wasn't intended)and open the cloud to nominations for board members interested in taking real action.

The power to influence change is credible and collective representation, build a strong high ground approach to the issues, and get people informed. Blitz the editorial pages and the existing farm organizations as one. I'm just saying.

Didn't the grain companies all get their start without elevators? The CWB could focus on producer cars. Now if producer cars could be reliable we would have something. Just think, no plugged up elevator to deal with. Just a thought.

Not shitting on your idea but the elevator system is supposed send the required grain from inland.

Sending producer cars with the surprise at the terminal may not work as well.

Although there is nothing to say the cwb couldn't order producer cars and have them dropped at the local elevator.

If it really is the railways fault, then the graincos should welcome any help from the CWB.

Although I think the graincos had a hand in this mess.

                  And government to bucket.

I wait powerless to change what I cannot change. No wonder no one wants to farm.

                      For sure.

The stocks should always be as close to export as possible.

Someone has lost sight of that.

                      Just in time is bullshit.

Cost us the japanese market for a time.

If it is the cold that causing all this then the industry has to look at better timing for shipping. They haven't and won't.
