Oh so true.....but thats where the average age of current farmers becomes an assset for most of us. Most have a 25 year plan when they reach 60....and it doesn't involve buying certified seed for 10,000 acres.

The governments truly have failed us . On the other hand it is pretty obvious who the winners are.

As Tom might/used to say, and thankfully now doesn't "Lord help farmers"

all this debate on here is kinda useless

it will be a done deal.

if there are 500 farmers on here
that think debate, come to some conclusions

the vast majority will not even think about it.

most will only wake up when it hits their
      pocket book. too late

we get the government we deserve
we get the transportation system we deserve.

you can work as hard as you want.

and the folks that make the rules can take whatever they want.

Your RM council might very well be on record as calling for a ban on Hungarian partrige, parairie chicken and white tail deer hunting due to the danger of extinction of those species and the concurrent daage to the ecosystem.

But not a peep about about UPOV91 and a looming crisis on several obvious agricultural fronts surrounding grain; beekeeping and maybe even livestock (sick and dying piggies for instance).

Maybe we are meant to suffer through every potential manmade catastophe.

          sawfly

The government onlt listens to about 200 minions.

I have tried for close to two months with emails and phone calls to get my opinion heard by this government.

          No acknowledgement or return calls.

Its obvious who they are listening to, hey TOM.

Always follow the money! Hey Tommy Boy!
Blah blah bigger yields ha ha ha. Elevators will
then only accept cert seed for premium! That will
be next, what a bunch of idiots we are! Boom bolt
gun through the head didn't even see it coming!

Think the elevators in the US will care whats in
my truck? Maybe this government can control
the border, too. Now that would be free trade.
Hope your phones are connected to Ritz office in
                Regina.

                  Sawfly et.el;

UPOV91/C-18 does not affect varietial registration... PBR deregistration turns a variety into a PUBLIC variety.

Which is exactly (they are public)what CDC Saskatoon varieties are in the pulse world. CDC Go is another CWRS public variety.

Once AGAIN; All the issues you are 'concerned' about... (conspiracy theories you enjoy to employ) are just as viable under present laws before C-18/UPOV91 becomes effective.

                  Have a great day!

Tom, please explain wheat variety registration as
it applies to Canada's grade and class system.
This may be where some of the criticism should
                    be directed.
