The winner of the contest is braveheart with the following limerick:

There once was a guy named Charlie,
Whose passion was riding a Harley.
    With a cycle of chrome,
    Thru the country he'll roam,
And no longer will worry about barley.

Congratulations, Braveheart! You composed with good technical ability, and form. Even a non-AVer can relate to Charlie. More importantly, I felt it's a timely tribute, and one all AV'ers would view as a special salute to Charliep. So, claim it as your own, Charliep and show it to your friends and family.

Thank you so much to each AV'er who took the time to write a limerick/s. The entries were so varied it was interesting and I read them closely. (am a stickler for spelling). Hopperbin was definitely the most prolific writer. Bill Duke's and Nudge's series of multiple limericks had such good rhyme and good humour, they deserve special mention.

And some of you were so Valentinish, ...."rubber boots", "city queen", "pretty girl", "my Dear", "I fell for love"... well you know, all the mush-words, I can only respond with a smooch. Pars
