how can you be suprised of the numbers after 4 weeks of 30 weather? These numbers will actualy be a little lower yet. Rain makes grain, not hopes and dreams.

Very surprising in the Calgary East region is how good the crop is well above expectations in both yield and telst weight.

This does not mean there is not some light barley around but both weights and yields are much better then most producers expected so far about 15-20% harvested
