Everybody on this board should read this Western Producer article. There was not enough thought into the transition to an open market. One system was destroyed with no thought to how it was to be replaced. Why are the opponents as vocal about problems in the current system as they were about the old system?

In one word I would say. Yes But funny thing these countries never really paid for the product we were selling. It was a easy way to take shit wheat from other places and add ours to get a decent bread.
Now at Coast were like all the rest except their is a huge deduction out on prairies vs the coast.

Customers not wanting to pay for blending at our port and then complaining about composite loading of ships is a lousy reason to miss, and totally unrelated to the property rights abuses of the single desk.

Cant read article but based on some comments here. Our whole system was originally designed to provide Britain what it wanted. Surplus sold/dumped in world. Japan replaced Britain with no change to any mandate or design. All the while the world chugged along growing a different product.
HRS acres will rightly go down.
