Seems to be no quality control with the weathfarm.com data posted to their site, plus lots of stations no longer reporting, but they leave them on the site so to make it look like they have more prairie coverage than they reaaly do. All the mb data was also under reported, this based on what my davis rain guage reported at the farm vs what was uploaded to their site. I basically quit relying on their data, and lnow ook at the mb agriculure rain guage site instead. Time to move to the weatherunderground site.

Furrow I give what others are seeing in our area and farmers in general.
      1. we need some fungicides but the gov and industry wont have short term patterns. Canola seed and round up should be off by now. Hell its a licence to take for life.
      2. farmers do all the hard work get the peanuts. True or false. Last time I went to phoenix the house of the Chem head fert family or equipment family was lets just say a lot bigger than the farmers I visited.
      3. Equipment needs a reset button. We need one new drill as it has lots of acres on it not looking new any more dealing on two year old system.
      4. Tractors and combines and all equipment is out of lunch as far as price.
      5. Yes 15 years we have had water issues and if some of you are having them this year think how would I handle 5 10 or 15 years of this shit. You think retirement you think exit you think existence. But you also try something new each year to win over the floods. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.
      6. Holliday, give me a fricking break. Some of you don't realize that people actually can find deals out there, people actually purchase shit when others are going down. USA 2008. Flights on Visa points for fuel. You eat at home you cook on holidays. Travel see stuff its a great big world. Live in your little shit hole part of Saskatchewan you miss out on a lot.
      7. Grain industry with grades is a great big screw up. Taking grain from Alberta and having east Sask sit and wait on contracts with no penalty is bullshit. But that is our system.
      8. You cant tell me all in AG outside the farmer don't make out like bandits at our expense. We do all the work for a little scrap left at the end of the day they take the gravy.
      9. Wealth has moved from NE to Sw in Sask thanks to Rain and Lentils. Caused by Excess rain and costs.
      10. Again its just ag in general if you think all points above are wrong good every one has a opinion. Just look and think outside of the box AG is a money maker for all and farmers get the scraps. Yes they give us enough rope so we just don't hang our selves but that's all.
So yea Ill continue to post I'm not sure why some always take a swipe over and over when all I'm saying is what I feel most normal farmers feel about AG deep down in there gut.
Have a great day We only had a inch so maybe the rain gods have blessed some others and finally the floods will have moved on.

Also furrow I like that your trying different things and showing that some things companies preach is wrong. I don't cut you down and say gee why did you buy a new quad or a couch for your house or a truck or take a trip. I don't give a shit what you buy or do. ITs Agriculture and farmers against them. That's my point. They love when farmers fight amongst them selves.

SF3, instead of spending money on a new drill, you may want to buy a GPS contolled land leveller because drainage is key. On the Wascana flats, 1/2 would be drowned out right now if not for land sculpting. Farmers got together and now they reap the rewards. Why is that not being done in knob and kettle terrain?

Points well taken , and ya that was too harsh .
But maybe it's just the way your posts sound , if it was truly 8 years of terrible disaster the way you make it sound your life would be much different .
There are others that been through far worse than you , and this year may be a good example of that for some on here that may loose everything die to Mother Nature .
I appreciate most of your posts as well but just lay off the woe is me

Yes I agree the excess rain might take down some excellent farmers. Usually all I'm trying to show is when some pattern keeps going even he strong farms are on edge! Excess water is not fun! Not fun at all! Most posts are about what I see in farming!
Any way Suns finally out yard is a mess with water but the wind is awesome!

We were at Fort Qu'Appelle today. Lots of rain and it headed east of there but I haven't heard any reports of accumulated amounts.
