What does everybody have for crop sheers on their swathers? What kind are the best? Would be putting them on a MF 5200 swather header.

I installed them on my macdon 972 header this year. I found I had to angle them outward about 25 degrees to avoid the reel hitting them. the only other option was to mount them way further out to avoid the reels altogether, however I didn't want to do that as they could be ripped off when going thru ditches. Did others have similar problems? do they still work well even when tilted out?

Only 1/2 inch in Regina with lots of thunder, but a lot more rain in White City. At least that ground can take it. We may google "starting a mushroom farm" with edible weeds for sale cheap. I haven't heard about any hail damage -yet, scarey 31 degrees today, but wind changing from SE to NW. Hope that helps. That big white combine is waiting to pull into someone's field. There are a lot of guys who would welcome hail, just not us.
