Well as the day wound down at AIM (Ag in Motion) yesterday a storm was brewing just SW and moving toward the grounds and Saskatoon. As we got to Saskatoon it seemed to decide to move South of the city. As we got to Davidsons and stopped to eat the Clouds got UGLY to the north. But then it seemed to weaken. We headed to Regina watched on radar and seen the storm decide to head south to Long lake. Great just what we didn't need. Then it picked up steam as it crossed the lake and headed to Raymore and Cupar and Dysart before splitting and causing new ones to start at Edgeley to Indian head and valley.
Don't know the Damage to the crops but reports of hail that fit into a beer can and windows blown out of houses and shops. Started as pea sise first but then exploded. Early signs are wind hail and Damage percentage unkown. But wow was it humid and this thing just seemed to pick up strength as it moved.
Did anyone else witness it or have damage.
Yea its a bumper, Not till its in the Pit.

Hopefully we remain lucky here. Last two nights in a row we were on the edge of a some ugly looking radar imagery. I would sure like to harvest upright peas this year.

Daytime heating with high humidity....cooling at night and that condensed humidity has to fall somewhere! Lots of daytime pump priming these days. Crossing my fingers we don't get nailed.

The big one went just North of us thought we were spared. Then at 330am got caught in a bullseye. Mother nature must not like charbroiling because she tumbled our bbq over 200 ft across the driveway as we hid under under the stairs. Some hail, high winds and extremely heavy rain crops don't look great from the house. Im not ready to look any closer.

Very bad system with a lot of damage cut through Holland, Winkler, all the way to Fargo with wind, heavy rain and hail.

Drove through that one yesterday. Worst on #2 would be Rathwell to Treherne, don't think Holland got nearly as bad. Zero visibility on the road with intense rain and wind then hail started. Pulled over in Treherne, heard the warning of risk of tornado there in the next 30 minutes so decided to header on home! Extremely waterlogged fields left behind.

Tornado sirens went off in Regina at 3:23 AM. The storm split and 1/2 went South to Kronau/Richardson and the other part headed to Balgonie and east.Thousands of acres of 100 % hail north and west of us. No rain to speak of. Thank the good lord, we still have a standing crop - hurry up lentils and canola.

Tossed the barley fields around some more. Otherwise made out okay.

                      Nice pic 101.

                      Mother Nature's canvas...

Too bad something so beautiful in it's own way can be so ominously dangerous
