    Workshop/machine storage doors.....

If you want a super wide door....
    Bifold?
Two wide rollup overhead doors with a track mounted movable centre pillar? If you ever hit the pillar...yikes. I have a hard time believing the super wide door header won't sag and make the pillar bind.
What have others done for large doors on their workshop-machineshop.

Anyone have a Pioneer insulated bifold door? Was thinking of putiing one on our shop and looking for critics.

Get a low clearance overhead door.

Some guys' doors must be about 50 feet wide. Couple guys around here have two wide roll up doors with the center pillar that slides to one side to make a huge unobstructed opening. Later I'll see if I can post a link or video.

Was just doing dirt work today for a new shop that were getting this year. Footings August, then trenching utilities to it. Early september walls, mid September roof, October heated concrete floor, then it's all the inside stuff. Hope to have it usable by this spring. We have double 24'roll up doors planned, (47' clear span with sliding beam in the way)20' high doors. Walls are concrete. Roof is a Behlen. Will be nice to work in a shop, not out front in the elements.

I have been moving dirt for a new shed that can be turned into a shop some day.
I think I will put in two 24' x 18'tall overheads for a drive threw lane and I am probably going with a large hydraulic door for larger access only on one side. Hope for a 40 or 45' door. They open all the way up. 20' if building is that tall and they can be insulated and are not flimsy like a bifold door. They also will seal up nicer for a shop.

Guess ours is a tiny shop now, 40x 64 with a 20x14 door, combine fits, all we needed, but have enjoyed it for 28 years, so hurry up and build one, best investment you will ever make! Life/career is short, don't put it off, soon done farming but had a great year round insulated shop!

Get a Diamond bifold door with remote opener. We have four large diamond doors biggest is 55x20ft and they all have perfectly trouble free for more than a decade. No sag, no leaks, no worries.

Diamond door and never give your door another thought.
