Some memories are too short, remember when fusarium came on the scene? The --- said there was no market for it, farmers had to find their own markets, why were terminals sitting full of wht. when harvest began? The --- paid great storage fees, and that came out of every farmers pocket book. Anyways i'm tired of talking about dinasoaurs.

Some people think there is an open market in Canada today.

The system is pretty much the same....

It's like guys that think they pay for a new combine because the side panel numbers have changed.

      The guts are the same.

Its a 50/50 chance contracting. Some winners some losers but the grain company always wins. I too do not like the wheat contracts because of the grading factors. No discount schedule available till time of delivery (such BS), that only works good for them. Not saying the CWB was the best, they needed to have an overhaul with more of the farmers interest in mind. But these grain companies are getting ridiculous with their contracts.
That sure would be great to have the wheat market to take off and go to 8. Won't hold my breath this year. At least I know someone else is not contracting my grain for me today at the lowest price, just so he/she can make themselves feel important that they did something today to come out with an average price for the year.

Selling the cwb to an end user like Salic was probably the biggest disservice Ritz did to prairie farmers that were asking for change not a royal ****ing.

Bucket....at least Ritz smiled a lot while he was being Harper's tool. Letting the Arabs into Canada's grain trade was as much a political move as anything else but at the same time they, (the Arabs) were undermining NA's oil business with their low priced oil exports. That part doesn't make sense at all.
Chalk it all up to more Harper government blundering and gross stupidity.

There was NO NEED for letting the Arabs get in with promissory notes and no money down. All dumb moves.
