What gives here Charlie... how can the CWB sell domestic wheat $20/t below export prices?

I should get the CWB to pay part of my salary for answering their questions. The export prices - like the price you see on the windshield of a car lot - are simply beginning ideas (offer side is you like) with little or no business done here. Actual prices would be far less depending on the country that the wheat is sold to.

The domestic price of $210 is instore thunder bay.

Eastern mills pay that price plus frieght to their mill.

This ODJ report specifically says Port position, NOT Thunder Bay... this is new CWB wording, I have never seen it before... which is why I am asking what has changed?

Here was what was the CWB practice before;

"The following are the Canadian Wheat Board's Thunder Bay domestic prices, in Canadian dollars per metric ton, instore."

Now Thunder Bay Domestic prices were not reported.

Why doesn't the CWB report these prices on their own CWB Web Site?

Why would the CWB quote domestic prices for Baie Comeau or Atlantic (Halifax) positions? And why west coast? None of these are domestic market locations?

Perhaps ODJ goofed (I've seen this kind of mistake before). Is this the only time you've seen it worded this way - the same as the way export prices are quoted?

I see today that ODJ has switched back to T Bay... like normal.

Why doesn't the CWB make public prices avaliable to everyone?
