Fj, we have had a great crop freeze Aug 15 , 2004 , lost 90% to hail 2000, drought in 87, 88, then 2001,through 2003 , root rot 2014, spring frost 2006,2007,2010,20015 - we have had a pail of shit thrown at us as well. Been there , just not the same shit creek as some .
I get tired of some of the "we are worse than you" - there is always someone worse off than you somewhere - gaureteed
I hope things get better for all of you - or move to Iowa or wherever if you can't make er. Some of us have been through as much shit as anyone in farming anywhere, some I agree a bit more but *** me , I bitch as much as anyone at times but your in or out after so long .
S/F - same thing again - I will bet $1000 that there are thousands far worse than you in Sask alone this year - hands down , I will even double up . Way Fukin wetter. I will take you there . I will show you 11 1/4's that were farmed for 40 years swallowed up by a lake from Mother Nature 20 miles south on two farms just 20 miles south . It's not just you, it fj or whoever , but it comes across like some of you are the only ones in western Canada with issues and as soon as someone else here brings up issues its - "but we are and have been way worse " - well *** that - your still farming - many are gone from many other areas strictly due to Mother Nature.
Sorry , but sometimes I gota vent at boo hoo - but this year will be very difficult for a very very big area far worse than guys like S/F -by a very long shot .
Some of you may be wet - but many will be totally fuked on over 80% of their farm , not 20 or 30% .
I know guys with 80% of total crop loss - is yours ?????

I never cut down others with problems. I'm stating a fact our area for 15 plus years can't get a break from the f$&King rain. Most call it that every time a cloud comes up.
This report is to show what's happening in rural Canada.

If some one has a great crop tell it. We all farm and nothing is better than a great crop. You feel like all your hard work paid off.

Now yes I ride companies who take there share from me, like the mob for protection and do jack shit.

Or salesman that say oh well low prices but the yield made up for that drop.

We're all farmers yes some this year will have such a cluster f$&k for a crop that it will take a few down. My years dealing with bankers I can see that happening. Your a rock star till a bad crop if your high leveraged your three minuets of fame are over. If you have equity they continue with you.

Lots of lentils went in with lotto 6/49.

Low prices and low yield and poor quality is really bad.

So no I'm maybe not as bad as other areas but all along I have said water in excess makes mud not bin buster.

I'm checking fields for hail now. They finally showed up for the storm on ag in motion.
