Does a killing frost mean we'd get some hot dry weather after that?
          Bring it on then please.

My beans need almost a month. So I hope frost is not in the cards for awhile. They wasted too much time growing tall.

F*cking snow throws a wrench into standing crop, been there before, but Sept 13, 1993.

I think 1968 or 1969 I remember we had a bunch of wheat out and it snowed real wet fracking snow. Fields all went flat. We cut on a angle then drove empty back and started again. Had custom cutters in that year to help. That was a harvest from hell big crop and flat on the ground. Fun times.

Started Saturday night here with a big wind and driving rain. Changed to snow and by morning we had 6 inches on the ground.

Half section of good wheat pasted to the ground. Got the neighbour with a Coop 550 swather that could shave the ground to cut it and we took about a week and got it picked up. Cut it all one way. Took out the gear box on the old 1482 doing it.

If I remember there wasn't any stretches of good weather after that.

Should have taken pictures in 1993, snowmobiled between canola swaths! It was like 6-10". In 1968 nothing was combined dry, think it rained all Sept, first year we ever saw a dryer.
