Would be nice, I cut some hay today. I assume Humboldt west will hit 30 plus, and we will barely break 22.

The satellite for everything north of Calgary looks wild.

Poor AB, slapped with storms again over night and this morning. Only slight chances of rain, strange it is staying in AB and west?

Starting the weekend and into next week SK weather will be very September like. Jet stream will be heading south.

Fjlip, agreed. I must be getting old because I really notice changes in weather mostly August 1. I cant describe specifically, there are plenty of beautiful days in August but it changes to the slightest bit more somber.
                        Shorter days?

Always in the middle of haying on Aug 1, and so often it marks a complete departure. even in the drought years of 2002 and 2003, It broke the drought with Snow and Hail respectively. If July was good haying weather, Aug will be poor and vice versa, except this year, July was very poor haying weather, Aug was impossible.

The warmest air is moving through in a wave that is heading east as the day progresses. Might not enjoy the warmest temps in western parts. And ya the tailend of Alberta's weather yesterday is going to spoil it for some areas.
