Well thats a wrap I guess. Not finished kind of wrap it up but thanks to Rain were shut down. Strait cutting ended earlier than I would of liked but moving to next area changing headers and really what the hell is another quarter off buy going all night on Canola.

Weather forecast said we would get today till noon. That ended yesterday night for our area.

Oh well its harvest and Rain happens. This is a big system I hope we miss out on the Bulk of the rain as fields are wet already.

Rain in excess can screw up a year any day till the crop is in the bin.

Just below the half way mark forgot my Durum fields and bad break downs slowed us down. When the Cart goes down it makes you wonder how you did things before you had one.

Maybe Kelly some fields if it rains or just go close up the lake.

We so far had 1/3 inch some I have heard had up to 1.5 so far, we definitely don't need any more rain till next June.

Just started sprinkling at 7am, agree 3" and fields will be impassible. Can't remember DRY...2009 it was, the year of Nov harvesting DRY grain? Since then some fields have NEVER came back. Salinity sure has, and compaction this fall is horrendous. Glad there is climate change, can't wait to see the change from WET!

Some guys finished up north west of here the past few days
Most here are down to 20% or so.
All cereals never dried this week, but so far the majority of rain has been south and east of here . Will see what happens today.
We are down to some canola left and 80 acres of soybeans .

Heavy rain just started as we seal up last grain bag. Strait cut canola guys went only looks like 15 min later than us last night and shit it down!
Dryer will get some more use time from now on!

For us it is early and maybe just maybe we won't get the three inches!

Wish what we had left was straight cut canola. Used that up the other day. Back combining the next day after 1/2 an inch of rain. 8.5 moisture. Couldn't believe how fast that dried compared to soaked swaths.

Regarding the straight versus swathed canola debate.... can't argue about the soaked swath issue. Heavy swaths take time to dry and if the ground stays wet under them they are a tough slug....

Which ever yields higher is the winner 4 me. Will report back when I get into the swaths standing avg was 6.8.
