Is there that much protein around?

Checking protein premiums for HRSW this morning. The same place where a couple weeks ago I received $0.40/bus premium for 15.5 over 13.5(2 cents/point), now is offering 1 cent/point but only up to 14.5 and nothing over that up to 15.5, so $0.10/bus premium for 15.5 pro over 13.5 pro.

On the downside the protein discount was 2 cents/point, for each below 13.5 pro,,,now it's increased to 3 cents/point.

Seems to me these formulas still show that protein has value, but rather than paying a premium, they incentivise you by increasing the discounts. I told them to call me back when they get back up to 2 cent/point ALL THE WAY UP TO 15.5 pro. Hoping others will too.

      Sigh.........

Here we go....just went on road tour delivering samples to numerous terminals. ...everyone is an option.

Can't wait to see the diversity in results. Will it be the variability in samples or the grading. We do our best to take representative samples and mix that sample well before making samples we deliver to terminals for grading. Not just start at the top of the pail and work our way to the bottom....

I would like to see all Terminal Graders certified by the CGC.

You stand and watch teller cash your check to make sure she gives you correct value. Your grain sample partially represents the value of of your grain check. Why not stand there and make sure they grade it accurately? You have the right to.

You will get a different answer almost everytime about protein payments - yes they are , oh , no they are not . Up to 15.5 , no wait it's 14.5 and no more . It's .02 per 1/10 , but maybe tomorrow will be .02 per 1/10 .
          They will all be different
But they have all in general pulled back from mid last week

Grading would then have to be "arranged" or "appointments" made. They're all too busy to do it right away and may rightly be so. But I hear your point.

My choke off is that our average samples always have higher protein than when we dump the wheat in the pit?
