How Canadian wheat farmers compare to other countries.

I saw this interesting article from a Purdue ag econ prof.

What does everyone think of this country wheat competitiveness comparisons.

http://www.farms.com/commentaries/international-benchmarks-for-wheat-production-113332.aspx

I think the size of the average Canadian farm is low.

Wheat yields seem high?

Any opinions on how Canada competes on yields and costs....quality could be an advantage if the graincos would pay for it.

Always interesting.

I would like to see more of the line item income and expense items:
Seed cost
Fertilizer (type and amounts)
Chemicals weeds, type, target weeds, number applications
Chemicals fungicide type, target disease, number of applications
Labour, full time and or seasonal
Equipment total replacement value, today's value,
Freight local cost, to export position, export position to major market costs
On farm storage volume, replacement value, today's value

Etc
