    27 mill Tisdale farm sale!

Looks like more Hutts are leaving Alberta for Sask!
27 mill for everything from land houses yards equipment and 2016 crop!
50 quarters. Very nice home Eqipment bins and shop!
I would say the farmer did good! Real estate agent big time win!
But why sell the dirt! It's a asset for generations to receive money! If it was paid for!
Once land is sold to Hutts it's gone!
    What are others thoughts.

If you don't sell it, your kids or grankids will. Remember the 90's, rent it for the taxes, wow what a living that would give.

Talked all about trusts, only goes one Gen, your family will HATE you for it, lived through one and it was bad time.

Was listed on Ted Cawkwell site...

27 mill? Who WOULD NOT sell? I see a lot of this in the future, at least until they run out of buyers. Even my 12 year old son says, why farm if you have a net worth of multi millions?

Really, what is the point? Do well, sell, and move on. I am pretty sure the kids will forgive you when you become more attentive, less stressed, and they come to realize their future windfall. That is a multi generation, do whatever you want, set for life windfall. Who in their right mind would "keep it for the kids?"

There is a point it becomes silly. Easy for me to say tho, I probably will never be in that kind of position.

I'm saying I thought about selling back a few years ago at the peak! But really if you have what you need and bought to retire easily, why sell the asset!
Really what did you do he whole time you farmed give every thing to the Chem Fert equipment and fly by night latest greatest way to farm better advisor sand have nothing left for yourself!
Yea we all have a large asset but really is our cash safe in banks with the debt being run up all over the place.

If you still enjoy the game-keep slugging; if you've had enough then fill your pocket and move on. We've watched farming go from good times to long periods of bad times and back again and around. We've watched many young people chose this way of life and live happily and contentedly, then othes who turn into miserable bastards- mean to their families and everyone around them. Real farmers know that farming cycles like any other industry and everyone is there to take a round out of your hide. Grain up-cattle down , maybe that could be a new country song. I can't sing this song to the guys who grew chickpeas this year yielding 60 bushel at 60 cents a pound - good call guys!

I watched the real estate video. That's probably the nicest farm I've ever seen. He deserved to get at least 27 million for that.
                    Congratulations whoever you are.

So you knew we had peaked out a couple of years ago, isn't that kind of an arm chair quarterback remark at this point? If "you have what you need and bought to retire easily" , why all the constant negative posts, I'm sure many farmers would be quite happy to be in your situation!

It's very hard to figure you out!

Good for him for making such a sound investment and getting out at the highs. We could be in a down turn for another 10 to 15 years... remember the late 80's to 2002? Sell it out and enjoy life, let the hutts have it all.
