Maybe a few drops fell. Flax will never be ready anyhow though.
After today can probably say goodbye to the sun till Thurs aft or Friday. It will have a lot of drying to do when it comes back.

101...we watch them intently. We start harvest borderline tough not thinking we should "wait". We push hard when its "fit", never thinking we have unlimited nice days. Forecasts can change direction on a dime. Long range foecasts are unreliable, the short term ones change too. Rain can be in a long range, then be taken out the next day and two days later be put back in when it is basically a day or two away from happening......how do you plan aroind that.

I've told my family grain will dry much faster in the field than using aeration.....so yes, sometimes we have a bit of toughish or borderline dry grain that would likely be dry had we waited an extra day...BUT...............

Then throw into the equation the temperamental unpredictability of the "Iron Maiden"....she/they never break own in the shed "waiting" or in winter storage

(Then....as the days tick away....fall turns to winter....days get shorter, drying conditions can get poorer. Wet saturated ground seems to lend itself tough conditions. How late can you "grind" and. will the Iron Maiden take the abuse?

We have limited harvest days in Western Canada. .....never trust a forecast!

I agree and grain in aeration in October is just to stabilize till it gets to dryer.

Freeze dry.

Moving grain today opening up 30000 room at dryer for next weekend. after this shit show blows over.

I first look at the GFS and NAM forecast model (ya they're free, get what you pay for). Then look at the spin that enviro can weathernetwork yr.no and another Euro one I can't remember the name of. Then I draw my own conclusions. Usually I throw out enviro can's forecast lol
