Had a border collie with a touch of German shepherd years ago. We found it cowering in an outbuilding one day as a pup and reckon it had got beaten by a neighbour. Was the smartest dog we ever had with an instinct for disreputable people. Bit a few people over the years but at the same time would accompany my 90 year old granny for a walk round the yard and was good with us kids. He let visitors get out of the vehicle and into no-mans land between the house and the vehicle before preventing them going any further. Only "mistake" he made was pinning a policeman up against the end of the house once - maybe not maybe he was a crooked cop lol. Generally his judgement was spot on - we didn't trust the people he didn't trust. He lived to 18 and for years after that his reputation lived on.

One time decades ago,the head of the local insane asylum thought it was a good idea to let the nuts run free and being straight down from it one nut with a knife ended up in the yard with my aunt home alone, she seen him and got into the house with the dog.The boxer dog went ****in berserk because it knew something was up,the cops showed up and they couldn't get into the house. One nut crawled into a grain bin and thought it was a good idea to eat wheat for a few days, foundered himself to death, one was inside the barn early early and grandad said he wasn't even scared, never understand that.Supposedly great grandad would walk into a bull pen and kick a bull in the snout that was ready to charge, made grandad even flinch telling the story, them old boys operated on a different level.

Grandad and great grandad both got ****ed up by cows with new born calfs and there collies saved them

Dogs are great and i love all breeds, fell in love with an italian grey hound yesterday, point being how you raise it and train it is the deterring factor, kangals are safe, unless you screw it up,most of the videos of them are the sickos raising them to fight and **** things up.

The old horse stories i liked more, man that must of been something.
