Question Brandon red wheat fusarium levels.

What did you think of Brandon red wheat this year. I'm thinking of switching our durum acres to red wheat next year because fusarium is out of control here in durum country. The risk in growing durum is just getting to high for me. A lot of our durum this year has 10% fuzz.

We had it side by side with Carberry
It was better yield , Color and grade .
    Was 4 bus better
Maybe held a better grade partly because it was about 4 days later maturing and not as dry when the first rains hit . But regardless had virtually zero fuz and Carberry had a trace

But I think if left out it can sprout slightly easier from what I hear from a local seed grower.
Basically if it's close you take it

We had Carberry cardale goodeve and Brandon!

Highest was Brandon by a nice bit yea it says sprouts but really we are wet and still just as good! Graded a 2 14.5 protein but were east Sask! All wheat averaged a 2

Cardale and good eve getting dropped in 2017

Good to know, it looks like a short variety.

Might have to try it next year.
