What more can be said??? We've been talking about this forever. We are all loosing $$$$ with every rain/snow storm. I have some hope to finish, but she's fading fast. Maybe it's time to exit this beyond stressful game. Everyday it's a fight with someone. Get out before all the machinery dealers, chem companies, etc take everything we've all worked so hard for. Mark my words it will happen. We we are peasants to the world, our job is to feed the world for nothing, and we are doing a good job doing it.

Stressed to the max. Only about 30% of the crop left out, but it's the high value stuff.
bills to pay... and crop in the field. On top of that, probably our best crop ever out here.
Took off a truck load of straight cut canola in the snow yesterday out of desperation... it worked not ad. canola testing 114... but today it's fog and hoar frost so won't be getting at anymore before the "wet snow" tonight and "rain" tomorrow.
I wonder why the hell we do this somedays. Have so much less stress with a regular day job...
In this area (Humboldt to Colonsay) there's wheat, canola, peas, fababeans, lentils, and oats and flax out still. depending on locale anywhere from 15% to 50% of the crop left.Last edited by Klause; Oct 13, 2016, 11:17.

I think you should be getting some of that yet SF3. I never sprayed this last field of canola and the stems where grass green yet gumming up the inside of the combine making mess and bridging over the chopper. Figured a frost might help, I guess that was a bit of f'n mistake. The canola is shorter then the stubble from what I had cut previously. This was taken this morning.

I hate to warm up the combine, transport, and then be forced to puke 10 bushels or so out onto the ground just for 250grams. I slid a 4x4 piece of cardboard under the swath, roughed up the swath a bit, little wind to blow the shells away bing sample.Last edited by biglentil; Oct 13, 2016, 18:35.
