That's an easy answer Goodtime. I think so many farms are so over extended it would make a number of us puke. Debt to max and then some, keep buying land and equipment because someone is dumb enough to keep lending or the farmer doesn't know what good, safe financial measurements should be .

Some its "just how they roll". If they lose it all who cares attitude or as the system allows, debt mediation, claim bankruptcy, go under another families name, claim bankruptcy and start again.

    Its really criminal....

Absolutely right Richard. Dumb farmers over extended that have to price every month no matter the price. Keeps the price capped. Some continue to do it to themselves then bitch about the price. "Stupid is as stupid does."

Is anyone monitoring deliveries and storage? Maybe it is a numbers game so product stays within bond. At least on paper and in the eyes of CGC.

My local elevator is booked with tough Wheat until Mid January already. They are only buying enough each week that they can dry. Too much risk sitting on wet grain they say
