I am now an armchair curler...love to watch it though.
Wa noticing more ag business logos on tv and on everything.
Do you people find time to be doing a lot of curling?

Isn't "active curler" an oxymoron? Lot's of Dekalb and Pioneer ads on the radio here

From high school to the mid eighties my winter was curling. Terrorized cash spiels all over s. MB. From 82-85 I curled well over 100 games/year. That's what it took to be good. Body broke down and can't do much curling without pain.

Used to like watching the TV games but can't stand the directional sweeping crap.

Memorable: Orest Meleschuk came in the mens can in the Heather Club, guzzled a whole Mickey of rye, went out and curled 100% on the sheet beside us in the MCA bonspiel in 1977.

Most impressive curler I ever met was Brad Gushue. Very driven, goal oriented, but a nice guy.

Biggest dink was Jeff Stoughton. Stuck his foot out to trip me at a curling banquet; told him he could f__k off any time. He muttered something about country hick.

Cannot stand all the yelling, especially the women curlers, ie jen jones. Havent watched much in 10 years. Dying sport i think.

We enjoy curling, played when I was younger, don't play right now because of family and time commitments.

Love the stories, you meet a whole range of people curling and I like the social aspect of it.

Both of us curled a lot in the younger days.quit in 1990..most fun was the rink burgers and the home made pies in small town rinks.
