We have 24% left all canola east central! North side of valley! Most similar in this area! South side of the valley less! But still crop out! Foggy this morning and spit last night!

Strip from Edam through NB to Hafford is 95% done .
North and south of that line varies a lot from 10-50% left out yet. That's north to the bush line to south of Swift Current. It is a massive area.
Rain / snow through this whole area again overnight and this morning .
Are canola markets dropping because of this supposed super nice weather we may / may not get ? Or did soy / palm oil crash this morning and overnight as well ?
Dropped $.15 / bus here this morning .
Everything is soaked again here and in many other areas, it will take several good days to even get remotely dry enough with perfect weather to get back into it.
Canola moisture jumped from manageable 16 % to over 20 % Thursday night before this wet weather set in again.
Any cereals left out are now or will be complete junk . Not good at all even if the weather turns perfect for 2 weeks .
The hardest hit area will be south of Bford to Rosetown , Eston Flaxcomb to Swift Current . That area was nearly completely droughted out last year and has been almost completely wash out this year much like the far north East at less than 50% done besides some pockets. Those areas will be by far the worst hit when all said and done . 2 years of less than 50% crop production with today's expenses and high land rents will crush a lot a farms . None of the insurance and or programs will cover the losses that are happening there. Many of the crops left out are simply not recoverable no matter what.
One large farm in the Kindersly Eston area has 30,000 plus acres out yet .

15% left.all flax.never got slough hay baled that was cut.That will be garbage.got rain all yesterday.no bales hauled yet either.Need a month before any snow comes around here.

NE AB. 40-50% left. Snow again this morning (not much though). Weather is suppose to be good starting tomorrow. Canola might be ok if we can get into the fields. Some clay and gumbo fields need it to get cold before they will support machinery. There will be crop left here. We will find out over the next week how much.

No actually standing pretty good. Havent had a lot of experience with red buts sounds like it winters better standing ?

70% left, EC Ontario. Corn (not so late) and azuki beans (very late). The rain we didn't get in May-September has found us

Personally 80%left Olds/ Didsbury area. Couple guys i know haven't taken combine out yet. Don't know of anyone done. Would guess area around 60 % left. Further west from hwy 2 the worse it gets. East side of hwy 2 quite a bit more advanced and guys down to last few fields but that is normal. A bit of standing crop left but lots is swathed, some has been down for almost 2 months and lots was swathed right on the ground because of lodging. Not looking good for those fields. Bit of white stuff this am but forecast looks good.

75% left here. Basically all of the canola and wheat. Some barley. All standing, canola and wheat will go if it can go two days without snow or rain. Barley is so flat it will take a lot of time and frost to get it dry. Will be working around a lot of wet areas, but not as bad as I first feared. Have tire chains on the tandem.

Still most of the second cut hay laying down, people still raking it every once in a while. Still some first cut that never got cut, lots more laying in water.

Got stuck trying to feed cows it is so wet.

west of highway 2, I doubt is 50%. Basically no canola off anywhere. Canola swaths are looking black in places.

West of Edmonton we are at 80% left to go and I would say most are 60-70% left. I don't know of anyone that is done in our county even the 300 acre guys. Yesterday we finished chopping some second cut for silage that was cut in September yet looked like it was cut the day before. Also have a 1000 acres of newly seeded alfalfa that we would like to bale or chop this year whenever it dries up or freezes so we don't destroy the field. Since June we haven't gone more than three days without rain or snow except for a week in September. At least there is still lots of pasture left. We haven't gotten a killing frost yet since we were under snow for most of October. Here's a pic of that second cut that was down for five weeks.

the other 20% , mostly bigger operators, 35-65% left.

mostly wheat out , but some bigger outfits have some canola
there are a lot around with at least a 1000 acres left
