Going here, swathed Canola, started at 12 moisture down to 9.8. semi gotta get pulled on the back roads, so soft. Aeration should handle it cause 29 on chart. Tomorrow will be throw up the cap day and say Thank you for good weather. Good Luck all, this week looks like we could do another 1000 acres, but wanna? - no thanx!

small patch of late swathed thin canola , was 10.5 and jumped to 12.5
      if the swath got heavy.

never tried today , wonder how much drop we could expect with this weather?

What we call jap pavement is heavily calciumed secondary roads which are supposed to make cheap alternative ashphalt, was a disaster 40 years ago and my fearless county was sucked into it again.

Down to 12 quarters left to go. Might actually get dry tomorrow. Boy would that be nice, no more grain drying.

This is round 4 of harvest!! With the big break in Oct it felt like we starting in 3rd wk of Aug, had to get used to combine again. Started durum other day 17.8, hauling it out this wk. Was 16.7 at 2 yesterday, hoping she's 15 by end of today.
So thankful for this weather, we all need it for 10 days or so!!

Ran a sample on standing flax late afternoon yesterday(standing might be an exaggeration as the top half of plant is laying horizontally, at least it's still well off the ground), tested around ten, so will be going today. Don't have much left, less than an Sept days work, but might be closer to 3 days of Nov work. This area needs a week yet to wrap up everything still out. Then to try and get field work done. Fields gone from muddy to saturated over the last week, one more week of drying and we might be able to work some of them.

Not getting any wind here over these last three beautiful days,,,,,need wind with this sunshine!

320 swathed canola left. Down to 8.5 MT. Should finish tommorrow and then off to help the neighbour. Once he is done we will keep helping others in our area.
