Trump and Keystone XL

The left in Canada uses the social license for pipelines arguement to try and get us to back a carbon tax. If Trump comes in and approves Keystone XL, a pipeline which has already been approved by the NEB and the previous federal government, won't that blow a big hole in this arguement? A carbon tax in today's political environment is nothing more than a killer of jobs and an energy consumption tax!

Why does every one cry about taxes when the oil cos can jump prices whenever they chose, like long weekends, planting time, harvest time and that all goes to 6 and 7 figure exc, and that seems fine. To me a dollar gone is a dollar gone !!
