Have any of you been so pissed to go back and get your grain?

I have calmed down over the incident but why does it come to that?

Yes a couple times over the years, there been àlso times when I've been called to haul pull in and see everyone else in southern alberta has been called to haul and is in front of me and there's a 2 hour wait and I just turn around and go home. Can't stand paying someone to waste my time. Of course when the haul is 10 minutes makes the decision not to wait easier.

That's when they use super bs for storage.


Grain cos are told by railways to load in 24 hours but if they **** away hours of truckers and farmers time that's OK.

Their attitude has to change on the driveway side.

My incident was with going back to get grain when the dockage was stupid high and I wouldon't accept it.

That's when you get a sample of the grain which they've kept and send to cgc for grade and dockage.

Why did you let them dump it?


Of was it a trucker who hauled it in?


Subject to inspectors grade and dockage is a good tool.


Also it wasn't peas to a Cargill was it?

You or your trucker have to request Subject to at time of delivery.

What was issue with dockage? Were they not assessing properly?

They didn't have enough sample in a bag with my signature on it to send to the CGC.

Selling subject.... almost guarantees no delivery.

I thought they would move a little on it to come to a reasonable dockage.

I took samples when putting back in bin and will take to CGC. And while I am in Saskatoon picking up screens for flax.

Won't be selling much flax without an agreed on dockage before delivery.

If anyone knows when you load flax the heavies stay right in the middle where they probe.

The sampling should be done differently for certain grains.

Not only flax but all grains. Weed seeds and broken grain weight more than the chaff and stay directly under auger spout. Grain is non homogeneous and separates in size and weight whenever you move it.
That is why only crosscut automatic samplers are used for CGC official outwards. To protect the elev and customer ensuring accuracy for both parties.

I can guarantee they didn't sample well ....didn't grade or screen ....or keep enough sample of 1 kg ....which is why I took it home.

I grow enough flax to know when I am getting ****ed.
