Don't Sell Any Wheat This Week

Obama announced record ethanol quotas that refiners must adhere to in 2017. Don't think the market has fully digested the news with the announcement coming right before US Thanksgiving. Next week should be a good one for the grain sector. Lets hope the turkey hangover has worn off by then.

More importantly, what is Trump's stand on ethanol?

This may trigger an excellent cash pricing opportunity straight ahead.

Trump is strong on ethanol. I speeches in Iowa, he said he loved it.

The Vice President being from Indiana should help. I believe during the Republican debate in Iowa, Trump spoke in favour of the ethanol/biofuel requirements.

Trump would rather pump money into the US economy than into the Saudis. Look out though lots of recount talk going on. Trump is not a lock yet.

This is one thing Harper and Ritz totally dropped the ball on several years ago by not mandating the levels that were recommended.
If pushed JT may push foreward - it's considered green and it is renewable.
But we will have to force the issue
This is what wall should be pushing and turn down the noise on carbon credits .
Or simply use one to help offset the other
I just think it's an opportunity to get bio fuels back on the front burner
Harper kept his oil buddies too content by suppressing bio fuels.
Bio fuels should be right up JT's alley but not a word is being said here in Canada - I don't get it .

We had a big investor pull out of a proposed bio diesel plant locally a few years back - the reason was no solid commitment on government bio fuel mandates . Westernvickie did a lot of good work on that. It was frustrating because Ritz would not give any answers and Harper would not push the mandated levels .

Would be relatively simple to convert the coal plants to burn wheat. Carbon neutral!

A good use for commercial salvage or fuz infected wheat lol.

They say the "vomitoxin" in the DDG can cause problems in feed rations if its too high.

                            Anyone?

                              Yes especially in hog rations.
