We work hard and play hard also. All inputs and fuel are paid for on a points credit card. We travel numerous times all
Winter using our points. It's how we reward ourselves. My Father and his Father started building this farm. And I continue to build it for the next generation. Off to Hawaii for Xmas. Taking my wife and two children. These are the memories you cherish forever.

The visa for fuel and any where we can use it pays for flights for four to Hawaii at Christmas plus flights some where at mid term break.

This year flights to Hawaii were 8000 for 4 but with points taxes per ticket. So you have to spend for diesel why not get some points.

Our 2 or 3 bedroom condos are time share purchases from the crash of 2008. Maintenance is key and some are real cheap fees. That's the key maintenance. Hawaii you trade into you don't own because your maintenance is out of this world. It's a game. Book two years out wi cancelation insurance.

Beer wine vodka etc is cheap in USA. Costco has everything you could need. In USA Mexico and even a similar store in Cayman etc.

Rental cars if booked almost a year out for Christmas on a premium car or utility vehicle is example 545 us today it's 1567 for three weeks.

You have to live eat etc, so yes it's reasonable. All inclusive your paying for some one to serve you. You pay for that service.

        Still have maid every day.

Good tips. Since I cant travel, I have a card that pays back 1% cash. Cash is king.

              Old smokey bar music...

BP..... get a higher fee card where you get the equivalent of one percent back.... some of the lower fee cards have ceilings for how much you can get back. I have a M/C World Elite. I have a little over $10,000 in "points".... put over a million $ through it and have redeemed some points for cash already. Why not....

Another smokey bar classic.....and I never smoked

We have a private banking Visa from RBC that has 1.5% and connects my farm visa plus wife personal and mine for points. Thats how travel can be a lot cheaper than most think.

If you want to be wined and dined then all in resort is great. Hawaii doesn't have all inclusive. Some of the Caribbean don't either so a condo works way better.

Maybe we will start calling this friday travel tips. Its amazing how what you can find out from others if you just listen and let them talk.

So bring on travel ideas that others have used.

peso is 15 peso to 1 cnd.we jut exchange our money once at a bank in playa del carmen.take passport give the Canadian an buy pesos.US is 20 pesos to a dollar.Resorts rip off to exchange.Do not use credit card down there as exchange on that maybe fine.Take lots of tip money and get treated like a king. That is my travel tips.Been to Hawaii 3 times loved it.Mexico this is 6th time all inclusive makes way less decisions to make in day and my mind gets a rest.Cheers..

Last Christmas we did three weeks in Cabo.

                    Love it!

Did make one tiny mistake went on Banking day to CIBC bank in Town and decided to change 1000 Canadian for the week. You need your passport and other ID. Well all was good till the girl and manager decided that we needed smaller bills in exchange.

We looked like Escobar when we left with elastic on bills and bundles.

Worked out fine way better than exchanging at the Condo complex. Yes I said CIBC in main mall in Cabo down town.

Most pay 2 % which you can get as cash anytime . Our credit union mastercard costs about $150 / yr and we use it for all farm inputs ,includinf fert , although they are starting to squawk a little . Nothing to get $8-10 k a yr and we're not a bto. Get world elite , no limit. Lots stop you at $200 k . Have a BMO card for personal its the same deal . We also price inputs a lot to make sure its not costing to use card

Thanx, I'll look into that. Used to be most businesses wouldnt take card for bigger purchases as it cost them a percentage.
