So for tips for holiday travellers. Points cards were discussed last week and yes some flight cost to all except the seat selection and taxes can be covered by you paying for your parts fuel fert or what ever on a points card. You would be shocked at how much you can save. Shocked.
The following is for Condo living, All inclusive is available in some places for a extra add on. Any one who travels all inclusive share your savings stories.
Today my tip would be on food while you travel. Food doesn't have to be expensive if you aren't worried about a little cooking. Yes going out every now and then happens.
Breakfast is the most awful costing meal around. Two eggs and toast and jam with a slice of ham or bacon. 9.99 some places you get a deal go to the deal who can screw up eggs.
But really if your in a Condo Costco is almost all over the place. We have been in Mexico USA Canada And even a store in Cayman that had Kirkland products in a ware house store. All centres from Antigua to Yellowstone have some sort of mega store. Buy basics for two to three weeks or 7 to 10 days. Farmers markets are also great for fresh vegetables and they are all over the place.
Funny we make a lunch for the beach or back packing then supper in town or cook a nice steak at home as the sun sets.
Basically when your home you eat and grocery shop so probably the week is same costs as home.
Now the one thing we do is one of the suit cases going has our basics. Most places this is where it adds up.
peppar salt spice margarine, first day coffee tims, creamer, sugar, wife takes a microwave rice pot and microwave pasta cooker. coffee filters round and triangle from dollar store. One suit case is usually almost empty since your traveling lighter when you have a washer and dryer on suit.
Booze in most countries of the world is cheap real cheap. Costco in Hawaii you will pay more for case of milk than a 66 of vodka. $19.99. and maybe even get a collector Christmas bottle this time of year.
So have a great Friday! Just cant wait for the Carbon tax to make heating my home and shop and car all more expensive to help china and India and rest of the world who isn't charging for carbon a better place.
