    Carbon tax

Lots of speculation in news media whether Sask premier is on right track to not sign on to federal proposal.
Think US election has strengthened his position immensely.
Not just Sask but all of Canada and especially our resource industries have a major stake in trade and getting along with our largest trading partner.
Do not remember when agricultural and other trade policy is as closely aligned as at present.
Here's hopeing that a protectionist president Trump and his supporters do not follow through with their threats.
It would be a mistake to allow distaste for Trump to spill over into anti-Americanism and policy and activity that too strongly goes against that of their own government.

It looks like it's going to get rammed down our throat whether we like it or not. Better to accept it and work towards exemption for some sectors?

I think what we have in Canada is a failure to communicate. What I heard Brad Wall say is, not now. This is the wrong time for carbon tax. The economies of AB and SK are too fragile with the downturn in crude prices. Twitter backlash against Pallister has forced some backtracking on his part.

Trump has had Heidi Heitcamp, ND politician to Trump Tower discussing coal and other fossil energy. His appointment of the new EPA head indicates he's ready to take on the enviro nuts.

What we have to fear from Trump is less on trade policy and more from his lack of buying into the climate change scam. If Canada proceeds with this Carbon pricing lunacy, and the US abandons its' Paris commitments, our country will likely plummet into depression.

IF!? IF!!!. More like, IF EPA head dismantles clean regs for vehicles and equipment in US (elimination of all Tier requirements) will people in Canada be able to buy any new US equipment? Or will Ontario allow the manufacture of dirty vehicles for the US market?

A whole country full of pain is coming and Drama Boy is showing off the new platinum set of blinders he just put on.

Like California gets "special emissions", Canada will mandate "clean expensive complicated mileage killing engines", to SAVE the f*cking planet us 0.016% of us!

I think the best approach is to oppose it and fight it.
The province will be fighting it in court and there is another federal election in 2019, it can be killed with a change in government.

It will be like the gun registry boondoggle that ended up wasting billions of dollars, once again the MP in our own province stabbing us in the back will be Goodale.

Ralphie is just a lapdog to the Eastern Liberal party.. only thing he has ever done was deepen a slough in the middle of Regina..

anyone remember when he was Minister in charge of the CWB and sent out all of those high payed appointed fact finders to find out how the CWB should evolve? when the results came back contrary to the Liberal Party's liking he tossed them and did what Ottawa wanted all along. (the Liberals are the reason there is no CWB, U can thank Ralphie and not blame the Conservatives)

Same reason Trudope wont do an impact study on a Carbon Tax it will show the direct opposite of what he is preaching..

The East should definitely be taxed and at double rate, because they have the majority of polluters and they have no way to sequester their carbon. Tax by pop, just like the vote goes.

Yes....where is the Royal Commission on CO2 !!!! Too much of a rush and all a political agenda. This is a very important change and few politicians are listening. Also none of promoters listening to one word.

                      Again:

Only listen to that which confirms what they think they already know. is also know as "falling on deaf ears"

                      And:

No sense in having hollow opportunity to be heard if no one is actually considering the comments being made.
