no worries , just fire up a few million windmills(aka; bird grinders) . maybe cover half of sask in solar panels . its all good , this 11 days of sunshine we've had in the last 4 months would of made loads of power.

MB hydro won't be cheap for long. They have huge debt problems. Former NDP gov't milked them like a Holstein. They have become very inefficient. Plus, they give in to all demands from the IBEW, and wages and benefits for workers have ballooned. They're a mess.

What's going to have to rates if everyone starts plugging in electric cars? Flood more Native communities up north, also killing thousands of carbon sequestering trees? Sounds real environmental to me. Or just mental.

It will be if we can export all of our excess capicity that is currently doing very little

We should be very thankful for reliable and economical electrical capacity in the prairies currently which is powered by fossil fuels or hydro.

Wind and solar both require backup and we would of had thousands of people freezing to death so far this winter if it was our only source of power.

Not three minutes ago the Sask Power news story on this evenings news reported that solutions in the carbon capture plant are needing replacing 4 times quicker than expected (ie 20 million costs instead of 5 million so far this year.)

The spokesperson also said coal fired stations are done by 2030 and he quite clearly said customers are just going to have to get used to higher prices for renewable energy than they were used to in the past.

So basically all the bullshit lies repeated about cheaper alternatives are sales pitches from those who know nothing except about grants, PR, subsidies and pandering to hot topics of the day.

Mb hydro is broke thanks to Stalinger. Our power bill is gonna go thru the roof when we get the bill for bipolar 3. Bet it costs double what they told us.
