    Viterra Winkler Red Spring bids(MB)

Hey all, Viterra at Winkler was just last week paying $6.25/bu for red spring with fuz from 2-4%. No extra dockage or discounts.

Louis Dreyfus at Rathwell has also been trying programs for high fuz but are not as well priced as Viterra.

If your sitting on some high fuz wheat might be worth giving them a call.

    Kinda thin on details....

Fusarium must be the only down grading factor allowed?
2-4% fusarium makes it a feed. 1.5% allowed for a three.
    Vomitoxin levels?
    Protein minimums?
Base grade(what it would grade without the downgrading factor) a one or two?

    And then there was durum......

Quote from a Grain Broker newsletter I subscribe to...

Looking for buyers for #2 CWRS 13.5% Pro at $6.75-$7.00/bu loaded rail car
Looking for buyers for #1 CWRS 14% Pro at $7.00-$7.25/bu loaded rail car

I guess if you have access to a close and good rail car spot and can load in a timely fashion at the moment this sounds like a premium to me. We would have had to load 12 cars with the grain we recently delivered. Spread out in other people's yards and not the most friendly sized bins to empty and clean out. Then there is the weather and need for people.

I wonder if the fellows with old grain elevators that still have the "spout" on them and along an active or shortline rail could load without any repercussions?

Or if a new facility like CanPulse at Lajord(Dave 4111?) who isn't bound by some stupid agreement that you can't load out of old elevators would load them through their facility for a fee.

      Too late for us...
