So now that someone besides seed growers grew Penhold did anybody have a field that wasn't rained flat and snowed on? I had a piece on canola stubble go 80 and cps stubble went 70-75 but both had huge harvest losses trying to scratch the crop off the ground into a swath. Probably left 5-15 bushels laying down.
My Foremost looked better but only went 70 and was done before the weather turned to crap (on very poor ground but it did look thicker and straight cutting was sooo nice).
A couple neighbors that got theirs off early said they weren't impressed, one thought he should have seeded heavier than 150 lbs/acre, next year going to 180, the other said he was switching back to HRS next year. Sounded like high 70's low 80's for them both.
