My only real concern is his lack of political experience.
He needs to rally support from the conservatives.
It is probably a good thing for him the other leadership candidates are all no names and unknown.
Who cares if he can't speak French.

Experience.... I'll take someone in business every day ahead of a drama teacher, smoking weed all weekend, taking breaks (Edo, on weedless Wednesday)

I agree with Rarearth. I also would take a business man any day over the useless twit Drama teacher we have now.

lets think about it, He has been gone more than any one i know even me. He is in charge of Canada and cant find the time to be here.

We need a shake up in ottawa and its time. I paid my membership last night and am backing OLeary.

              Rareearth, Sk3, Caseih

Coming from business seems to be a very important asset to the three of you, if you are the PM of Canada, which I also feel is a good quality to have in that position as well!

I would bet the farm that all three of you voted for Harper in every election , exactly what business experience did he have? I'll also bet that not one of you voted for Paul Martin, even though he's as business as it gets. So is really not about business, it's about the party in power that is bugging you the most?

Bang on Forage...and unfortunately the ways of our times is "no tolerance for the other side"....IMHO, this will be one of the major issues in times coming. It is getting very divisive, winner (power) take all. There is good in all of our leaders, and short comings too.....if only we could figure a system that would work together, just like we do when a major tragedy happens... we figure it out and pull together.
In my mind, it is the divisiveness that will take down this society......

                  Forage....

Paul Martin was a good businessman...so good in fact he didn't think paying taxes in Canada was worthwhile....but gaining a monopoly on freight thru the great Lakes was pretty important...and writing up a few nice indigenous companies and policies to invest in to soak the taxpayers. .....

                      Bucket

Agreed, but everybody on here is making it sound like Oleary would be a good PM because he's in business. Martin was a business man, and they all voted for the "Reformer" Harper who's only real job was a mail room clerk. So this bullshit line that the PM should be in business coming from the majority of posters on Agriville is laughable. It all boils done to the party nothing more.

Besides you really think Oleary hasn't evaded as much taxes as Martin, they all do it.

That may be so - but when he is proven as guilty as Martin and still left to continue all of us sheep - let us know ..

Being a sharp businessman does not necessarily make you a good leader. You have to consider the bigger picture and how to get along with others that may not share your views. O'Leary has not demonstrated an ability to tolerate people that don't share his views.
