Why would an embargo on US corn and soybeans tank canola? That would leave a large export void to be filled, wouldn't it be filled partially by Canadian grains which should be outside of the embargo? It is a zero sum game unless China chooses to starve its people and livestock to prove a point and doesn't make up the shortfall in imports elsewhere.

I agree with you but it seems like Canada is a low priority on the list. China and Mexico seem to be the top trade imbalance issues.

The U.K. And USA appear to be heading towards a quick Free Trade agreement. PM May is travelling to Washington DC this week and UK will be severing ties with the EU soon.
