I watched the CBC news for a few nights and it seems everyone is in a dither over Trump and the free trade deal. The Liberals and their leader all out in Calgary trying to figure out what to do.
Thinking back to 1988 the whole election was fought over the free trade deal with John Turner and the Liberals and Ed Broadbent of the NDP strongly against and Brian Mulroney and the Conservatives for the deal.
Turner and Broadbent both campaigned saying how the trade deal would destroy Canada and how it was the worst thing a government could do.
Now with talk of opening up the deal and the nervousness of the Liberals I guess Brian Mulroney was right!
