What is funny is the head of the auto workers saying "we have to renegotiate NAFTA". I have heard that somewhere else just recently as well.

Smart move. Nafta is done. Trump wouldn't be threatening import tax on Mexican goods if he hadn't already written off Nafta in his head. Best for GM to get the hell out of the country while you can, because as economists were saying yesterday, when the dust finally settles on the trade issue, Canada will be the most uncompetitive of the 3.

It only means more transfer payments. Equal isn't always fair and fair isn't always equal. Shouldn't bark too loud because good old Sask was on the receiving end a long time.

The Peso is at .048 compared to USA dollar how can Canada compete? That's why GM is moving the jobs. Just wondering how this is JT's fault?

The main reason jobs are being lost to the USA is automation, not China and Mexico. Trump can talk all he wants about tearing up NAFTA it will end up hurting the USA more than helping. If you were to ask any top CEO in the USA they would say the same thing over and over again, free trade boosts exports for the USA which increase jobs.

                      SK3

That's an easy thing to do, just to get Trump off their back, nothing more. Gives Trump something to brag about, just like he stated that he save 1100 jobs at Carrier when it turns out to be less than 800 plus $7 million incentive. Is that really job creation?

But, how about the rest of you answer the question about how tearing up NAFTA is going to help the USA!

                        Goodbye Ontario Manufacturing and CAW.

                        Highest non-sovereign government debt.
Uncompetitive Ontario Hydro rates due to phasing out fossil fuel sources and going "green".
                        CARBON TAX/CAP AND TRADE
                        Inefficient unions.
                        Terrible provincial and federal governments.

The only thing going for Ontario is the weak $....

Get out the popcorn and watch the Ontario dumpster fire burn.
