    no subsidy no solar

looks like solar does not move unless the cheques are in the mail in alberta. kind of like the drunk worker on a collective farm.

To add some real numbers to this continued debate. I am constantly told how cheap solar is. Here are the actual numbers fron IESO in Ontario. First the price schedule from Aug. 13,2010. Solar rooftop less than 10 KW 80.2 cents/kw. Ground mount less than 10 kw-64.2 cents/kw. Rooftop 10-250 kw-71.3 cents. Rooftop 250-500 63.5 cents/kw. Ground mount more than 10 kw-44.3 cents. Now remember these are locked in for 20 years no escalator. Now the prices from IESO for Jan. 1,2017. Rooftop solar up to 6 kw-31.1 cents a kW. Rooftop 6-10kw- 28.8 cents a kW. Rooftop 10 to 100 kw-22.3 cents kw. Rooftop 100-500kw-20.7 cents a kw. Solar non rooftop 10 kw-21 cents. 10-500kw-19.2 cents a kw. On shore wind 12.5 cents with a price escalator built in. Now 2 things are evident, the price has come down over time, the price is nowhere as cheap as we are constantly told. In Alberta where our power is 6.79 cents a kW for the next 5 years what kind of insane subsidies will Premier Notley put in to make solar power look affordable. It is obvious that the Lieberal government in Ontario spent huge to get it installed!!!!
