The arrogance of these protestors eclipses their ignorance.

I just find it pathetic how MSM carries the poor me protests but zero on the aftermath.
No different than the big protests at Trumps swearing in . The the day after , the mess left behind was an absolute fricken disgrace

While I sympathize somewhat with the opening post the claim that the oil industry is cleaner than clean couldn't be further from the truth as evidenced by these illegal pipe dumps and other contamination sources in the AB oilpatch.

Grassy when we leave a lease we don't leave a cigarette but a water bottle or even flagging tape behind... that's 99% of the industry.

That pic looks like a lay down yard while in use. There is no way that would pass inspection

nice try grassy. the left and sjws should try to live by the same standards of regulation that have been imposed on many responsible industry players.

I'd like to vet that evidence.
What once was is no longer 99% of time. Sure, still some old unclaimed leases from defunct companys.
Try slipping on a pair of covys for a while and get back to us.

While your at it, apply all the regs the patch has now to your farm. Too bad farming isnt cost plus.

Ha Ha Ha "pass inspection" whose inspection? Wouldn't be AB Environment as their staff are no longer allowed to set foot on a lease site. Probably pass an "AB Energy Regulator" inspection as the new industry funded, industry controlled regulator is called.
These cases did happen, the evidence was entered in court. Brought to the attention of the AER by members of the public, non-compliance notices issued as a result which are ignored by the company for months and years in some cases. No real interest in pursuing enforcement. Energy regulation in AB is a joke. That's what happens when you put the chicken in charge of the hen house.

sorry grassy. you are wrong and misinformed. self imposed regulatory, safety and environmental measures implemented by many industries not only the oil industry are far more stringent and cost effective than government. the reason for this self induced governance was to be more effective and avoid the flawed external inspections and ultimately exceed protocol of exterior regulatory bodies.
