Ok mustard tell me how you would fix climate change I would like to hear how you will survive on solar and wind power. It's a nice dream but green power can't supply our needs now think about having to heat every house with electric and then plug in your electric car and tractor combines trucks and on and on. Think of how many more kw of electricity will be needed from a system that can't supply what we use now. You can tax carbon to the moon and if people need it they will find a way to pay for it and the crooked politicians know this. It is amazing people fall for global warming crap when it is just a huge transfer of wealth from society to the government's of the day.

Was watching CBS a few morning ago, and they were at the Palmer Station research station in the south pole speaking with an American biologist Shawn Farry . The main story was the decline in penguins in the past 43 years from 9000 to 1200 on the local islands, a drop of 85%. The main reason is there is less sea ice, which the penguins require for hunting. Shawn mention they have been searching other locations thinking the penguins are further south but have found nothing.

They then showed a picture of how the glacier next to the research station has receded from 1975 to 2013, which was a significant amount.

So there is something happening to melt this ice. I have always notice that heat melts ice, at least here in Manitoba.

A biologist who is stationed at the south pole is saying they are witnessing changes happening around them in the past 43 years and then there are posters on Agriville saying it's all fake news.

Just who the (----) should you believe?

A millisecond of the earths life isn't reliable enough statistics.....but believe what you want....no one can predict weather ....

For a thousand years the Chinese population fluctuated between 36 million and 60 million. Not talking penguins.

Now talking penguins. From your same source. Overall, the Adelie penguin population is shrinking, while populations of Gentoo and Chinstrap penguins has been on the rise. Can you say food source availability, and adaptability to changing times for both penguins and people?

It's coming for us in the form of a Little Ice age, and long before the warming alarmist's theory grabs a larger toehold. I may even be around to see how agriculture adapts to years without summers, but gas and cc. will still be entrenched in demanding carbon tax collection.

The green giants are trying everything in their power to keep the hoax afloat. Everyday there is some big scare tactic. Yesterday the ocean water has warmed by 1.5 degrees in 40 years, but no where do they post a graph( with legitimate names) or say that they are taking from consistent points at consistent depth, just some crack pot scientist who has to put something in print to justify his hundred grand a year with total expense account. IMO ---- Media gobbles it all up because its existence depends on readers -especially good if they are paranoid ones.

If the ice sheets only grow and never melt I guess we would be covered in ice. The climate is nor like a union worker who has to have more every year there has to be give and take to keep the environment balanced just like how nature controls populations of insects and animals. Someday there will be an epidemic of some kind to thin the human herd it's how nature works.

Most likely the truth lies some in between the climate change alarmists and the climate change deniers.
Are the polar ice caps going to melt and sea levels rise 30 ft in the foreseeable future .... no
Has earth been warmer than this before - yup
Are humans causing climate change - very debatable.... as seen here.
Are humans causing huge pollution issues in areas around the planet ..... yes
Have we as farmers in western Canada reduced the amount of harmful exhaust and fossil fuels per ac over the past 20 years ... yes .
Is a carbon tax going to reduce the amount of fossil fuel we burn as farmers .... no.
Most of us are already trying to burn as little as possible to keep costs down .
A lot of climate change alarmists need to study the power of sun cycles and solar activity on the earths climate first then go back to the drawing board on human influence on the climate .

                      Fewer sunspots = lower temperatures.
They are visually seen over periods of time by multiple interest groups. That alone should stop alternate facts, and fake charts being published.

Not so with planetary ocean temperature readings from stationary ocean buoys tied into individual, or group research. If the data doesn't fit the temperature rise you want, well let's just swap it out with passing ship data that gives us the chart we are looking for.

"environment balanced just like how nature controls populations of insects and animals. "

Are you serious? What's left for mother nature to control in the wild animal population? Mankind has do a great job at that.

We screwed that up, so just maybe we're doing the same thing regarding the climate as well!

Still baffled as to the carbon tax , when a simple solution to reducing c02 is bio fuel...

So are you saying there is data only available for the last 100 years?

Trying to give the benefit of the doubt here.

There is data going back thousands of years when they have done core samples on some dry lake beds that show many severe droughts and floods and environmental changes. I guess this info may be skewed to please climate change deniers because apparently the climate is not supposed to change.

Well the ice cores also are very accurate indicators.

So is that the next question, what happens when you have twice the co2 in the atmosphere? Technically, shouldn't that be how the earth started and then began storing carbon which we have released in the industrial era? Sounds pretty natural. Like a reset.
