If only grain prices went up like machinery. The road to corporate farming is becoming clearer with every increase in production costs. We used to laugh at Russia with its collective farms. We will be there shortly.

The only way these things pencil even with just a lease is 24/7, acres to the max

Agree, NEW tech destroys value of OLD tech. BG 5710 are worth FA. Mine grows same crop as the $1000000 units across the fence.
Best part is the poly tanks, so lighter. Dual fans? BG had that for 20 years, oh ya NEW idea Deere.
All have scales and sectional control, acres to empty, cameras, and are EXPENSIVE and DEPRECIATE.
            None will pay.

Seeders are the worst for depreciation. Hello Ritchie bros.

The last new drill and tank we bought, before this one we have now, we owned for ten years and traded it off with decent value because it was in real good shape. Maintenance will be a bigger issue with the one we have now! But it will probably be here as long as the previous one.

Ya they depreciate but way worse right off the hop.
