Filled up last week as well. I don't think it will go lower from here. Much more likely to go 10-15 c higher as April rolls around possibly plus any tax increase

I keep hearing that winter and summer fuel blends are now the same...does anyone have the real scoop on this?

A4A....I highly doubt summer and winter blends are the same....we had a tandem with summer fuel freeze up on us in the cold storage shed while the highway tractor with winter fuel in didn't outside.

I think you are right FA. Can't believe everything you hear.

From coop website : The formulation of CO-OP Seasonal Diesel is adjusted, on average, 16 times annually to ensure optimal weather related operability. Although changes are made seasonally, precautions should be taken to avoid using diesel blended in the summer (Summer Diesel) in subzero or winter temperatures.

Does anyone add in anything to their fuel...I see at markussons they have jugs of canola oil additive that you can add. I see on the coop site that they say the lubricity is high but the data sheet says "less than 460". Not sure if that is a typo on the datasheet or if they are trying to tell us something

I was told by my dealer that he gets the specific gravity on each load as it comes in. He said it is 3 or 4% difference between seasons. He also said that biodiesel is removed for winter and that is the reason summer fuel gels in cold weather.

Just passing on what I've been told. Also tanks are full. I think it will be cheaper pre-budget than post budget.

Any one know if Coop and Petro Can Diesel come from different refineries and how do they compare?
Heard better economy from Petro Can.
