Interesting that maple leaf foods moving back to town here. Setting up a hempseed / oil facility.
Also looking into the medical side of hemp / CBD.
Rumour is that one large progressive farm ramping up hemp production to 15,000 ac .
Could be interesting new market here .
Hemp has been grown successfully here but the hold up was uncertain markets .

Watched a BNN thing on the industry and have a medical use growing facility 20 miles from here only open a couple years. They have a application in to add 650,000 more square feet of building to gear up for the legalization.

The gist of what I get is that production will likely outpace demand and price will make profitability drop. Sound like growing other crops?

I believe it is legal in Colorado, possibly some NE states as well?

Jadfarms if you bought shares good for you, I hope you make money!

As for the moral aspect about smoking pot, alcohol has destroyed many lives! What's the difference if you are a social drinker or a social toker.

Those of you fearing it will destroy young people live in a bubble, Cannabis is everywhere already!

Legalize, tax it, and move on!!!

Sure pot is everywhere, Forage, but surprise, surprise, the dealers out there now are the lowest of the low. Local guy who was supplying coke started cutting it with crystal meth to make it go farther. You can just imagine what that did to his customer base. These f**kers are killing people and very little is done. You would think the ones sent to jail would at least get cleaned up but it is readily available there also. So, I don't know what the answer is, but a government overseen plan might be safer. I am lucky to have three sons and daughter-in-laws who stayed away from that shit, but there are plenty of their friends who are screwed right up on all sorts of different drugs. Cousin who is an RN in Lloyd said fentanyl users there are now calling 911 in the hospital parking lot and then popping the pill. It kills them and the rush is when the antidote brings them back. These synthetic drugs can be put in anything so the junior high kid who wants to just try some pot doesn't have a clue what they are getting.

Yes, if marijuana is legalized, and it should be, cannabis growers will get rich. But in Colorado, the people that also did well were the ones with real estate for grow ops. Warehouse properties became very valuable. Equipment suppliers did very well.

The actual growers and retailers also faced high risks for robberies and security is a concern.

Here is a couple of Cannabis stocks that have nothing to do with producing Cannabis for recreational use.

This is the company that is in the process of building the THC breathalyzer

                    http://www.cannabixtechnologies.com

If the breathalyzer works could be a good investment if not it will be worth nothing

                    It's a 50/50 shot

Sry to say more like a .001% chance of working. Even blood tests are not conclusive evidence of recent marijuana consumption. There is little to no evidence that suggests marijuana increases the risk of accident to the contrary the evidence suggests that drivers are more careful and perhaps even safer while high. Thats why a judge in saskatoon threw out a impaired driving charge against someone that admitted they had recently smoked a marijuana joint. Could not prove impairment.

All medical cannabis should have to be certified organic, inspected by Parsley.

Agree with what you stated regarding the other drugs you mentioned, as they are very dangerous. I too I'm thankful that my children made it through those tough years, but that's where it starts in the home. Parents have to do their jobs, bottom line. But the thread is about the legalization of Cannabis, two very different issues. Young people can also get seriously addicted to alcohol and destroy theirs lives which is legal. Once again it boils down to parents doing their jobs, neither Cannabis nor alcohol are going away!

Legalize it, and we must do our jobs as parents
